Q.) Do you charge for providing me with an estimate? A.) No estimates are provided free of charge, with no obligation, you will be given a detailed estimate which clearly lists all the work to be done, the breakdown of the price for each aspect of the work and an estimated price for completion of the whole of the work.
Q.) What methods of payment do you accept and when must payment be made? A.) Payment by either cash or cheque are accepted, sorry I am unable to accept credit / debit card payments. Cheques should be made payable to Mr. O Scoones or SST Tiling Services and all cheques must have a valid cheque guarantee number of the reverse. Cheques cannot be accepted over your cheque guarantee card limit. Payment for materials provided are due prior to work commencing, with the balance of the total amount for the work being payable upon completion of the work.
Q.) Will I provided with a receipt? A.) Yes, prior to work commencing, you will be provided with a detailed written estimate, upon completion of the work you will be provided with a full invoice and receipt.
Q.) Do you have public liability insurance? A.) Yes, for the protection of both my customers and myself, I have a comprehensive public liability insurance policy.
Q.) Do you provide any form of guarantee? A.) For your complete piece of mind, when using materials supplied by me, my work is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion. Please note that I am are unable to guarantee damaged tiles, issues arising from misuse of the tiled area, or problems deemed, by an independent inspector, not to have been caused by my workmanship.
Q.) My walls are damaged or in a poor state of repair, are you able to tile onto walls of this nature? A.) Walls which are not flat, or have large gouges, missing patches, or protruding elements will in most cases need to be made good prior to being tiled. I am able, as part of my service to you, under take the repair of such walls, if repair work is needed prior to tiling you will be informed at the time I provide and estimate, of course, if you wish to make good the walls yourself prior to me installing tiles this is fine.
Q.) I want to provide my own materials, is this OK? A.) Yes, I am happy for you to purchase your own materials, in which case I will provide you with a labour only estimate. I can offer you advice on the type and quantity of materials required.
